They say seven is a lucky number, and we couldn’t agree more. Sydney hotel institution, Primus has announced that it will be opening their rooftop bar, Level Seven to the public. This means that Sydneysiders – you just got a whole lot luckier.
We’re not joking when we say that this might just be one of the most luxe rooftops in Sydney. The spacious area is home to a heated, glass walled pool, cocktail bar and a number of cabanas. All of this overlooks the Sydney CBD.
While the rooftop was previously decked out in a nautical theme, the overhaul will see the space take on a more NYC-inspired style. For all the history buffs, you’ll know that the rooftop was used as a shooting range for soldiers and locals during WWII. Today, the pace is somewhat more relaxed, and the only shooting going on is that of Insta-worthy pics.
The full food and drinks menu has not been released, but we have it on good authority that Rosè Spritz, alcoholic icy pops and pizzas will be some of the goods on offer. Daniel Menzies of Bistro Moncur Woollahra fame has jumped on board as part of the revamp. This sees him taking over the reins downstairs at The Wilmot, Primus’ award winning in-house restaurant.
If you’re looking to treat yourself, go all out and book a room. This way you can enjoy all of the hotel facilities at your own leisurely pace (and not have far to walk after a few drinks on the rooftop). Spacious art deco suites combine the history of the building with contemporary furnishings, because sometimes you’ve just got to treat yourself.View on trivago
